VISA

  You are responsible for securing the correct visa before coming to Korea.
  • If your nationality is eligible under korea's visa waiver program, you do not need a student visa.
  • Check your eligibility and apply via the K-ETA website at least 48 hours before boarding.
Eligible For K-ETA
1. Visit the K-ETA Website
Go to the K-ETA website and see if you're eligible.
2. Apply for K-ETA Online
Submit your K-ETA application at least 48 hours before your flight.
3. Get Ready to Fly
Once your K-ETA is approved, you're ready for Korea!
Not Eligible For K-ETA?
1. Check with the Korean Embassy
Ask the Embassy for the list of documents needed for your visa application.
2. Request Documnets from DKU
You'll need:
  • Certificate of Admission
  • Certificate of Business Registration
3. Apply for a Visa (D-2-6 or D-2-8)
Submit your application at the Korean Embassy in the country where you are currently studying.

Insurance

  • All students must have health / travel insurance that covers the entire period of their stay in Korea. Please make sure you understand how your insurance works in case of illness or injury.
  • If you do not have your own insurance and selected “Please arrange comprehensive insurance for me” on your application, you will be required to purchase insurance through the ISS/IWS Team during orientation.
  • The cost of insurance in Korea is usually under USD 100, but the exact amount may vary depending on the length of your stay, age, and other factors.
