The Korean Immersion Program (KIP) is a language and cultural experience designed to fully immerse participants in the Korean language and culture. Through intensive Korean language classes and a variety of engaging cultural activities, participants will have the opportunity to learn both the language and the culture that makes Korea unique. With a part of the classes taught by DKU students, participants will also have the unique opportunity to connect with local students and make new friends.

Korean Language Course
Days Monday through Friday, 5 days/week
Times 9:00 am-13:00 pm
Hours Total 45 hours of classes (30 hours for 2-week program)
Levels Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced
Placement test On the first day of class
Credit 3 credits (2 credits for 2-week program)
Credit transfer To transfer credits, students are advised to consult with an academic advisor at their home university
and obtain pre-approval to receive credits for coursework from DKU.


Cultural Activities
  • NANTA musical and Seoul Sky activities are included in the program fee.
  • K-POP Dance, Everland theme park, Kimchi Making, and Taekwondo are optional paid activities.
  • Students can select and pay for the optional activities during the program orientation.
